Cross linking can help your SEO strategy by increasing your link popularity and Page Rank, but it should not be used to excess.

Cross linking also serves an appealing purpose in terms of search engine optimization. Link popularity is one of the main factors involved in how search engines determine the value, weight and relevance of sites on a given topic. This calculation is then reflected in the site's search ranking.

Think of the internet as a massive web. The more things you link to, the more that could possibly link back to your site. See what I mean?

Cross linking refers to the process of linking between two sites. Whether or not they are owned by the same person, cross linking is the process on which the internet is built. It allows users to reference sites with content similar to that which they are already viewing, and may be of further interest to them.

Cross linking between sites is a very popular method of search engine marketing. Both reciprocal links and inbound links can be valuable SEO tools, provided you use cross linking effectively, especially if you are the owner of both web sites.

A decade pursuing the creation belonging toward world broad Web, Tim Berners-Lee is marketing the "Semantic Web". The internet hitherto is ordinarily a repository of electronic content. It carries a rudimentary inventory plan and extremely crude information area services. like a sad result, most belonging toward composed content is invisible and inaccessible. Moreover, the internet manipulates strings of symbols, not logical or semantic propositions. In other words, the Net compares values but does not know the meaning belonging toward values it therefore manipulates. It is unable to interpret strings, to infer new facts, to deduce, induce, derive, or otherwise comprehend what it is doing. In short, it does not completely grasp language. work an ambiguous phrase by any lookup powerplant and these shortcomings appear to be painfully evident. This deficiency of knowing belonging toward semantic foundations of its raw product (data, information) stay obvious of functions and databases from sharing methods and feeding every other. The internet is discrete, not continuous. It resembles an archipelago, with customers hopping from island to island within a frantic lookup for relevancy.

Cross-linking means exchanging the links between two websites may or may not be owned by the same person. But this tactic is old and old fashioned. Google give any value to such tactics and even penalized if he found anything confused. So better to go for link building as per Google rules.
