Since the update discourages indulgence in spammy SEO practices, stick to white hat, legitimate SEO work. Avoid indulgence in keyword stuffing, link spamming (link trading) & linking the same anchor text to multiple sources. Include unique, informative content in your website and make the most of social media interactions.

To compensate the effect, build relevant backlinks as after penguin update Google starts taking only the quality and relevant links into consideration.

You should get do-follow, high page rank and relevant backlinks from authority website then you can achieve your goals to get good ranking position in SERP.

Build more quality back links using with different link building techniques like forums posting, blog commenting, article submission, directory submission, link exchange etc..And update your site with fresh content regularly.
