The eligibility criteria for B.E.programs is a meritorious ranking in the Dayananda Sagar Admission Test (DSAT) or CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by the Government of Karnataka or COMEDK organized by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. The candidates must have passed the 10+2 or the Pre-University in the first attempt with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as majors with an aggregate of 45% in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Electronics/Biology/Computer Science. For B.Tech programs, the mandatory subjects are Physics and Mathematics with any one of Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Electronics/ Computer Science or Biology. The aggregate marks required is 40% for students applying under the SC/ST and OBC categories.



Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering Admission criteria for postgraduate, M.Tech programs include a B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent pass and clearing the admission test conducted by the University with a good score. The University gives preference to candidates with a GATE score over rank holders from the University.



A Master's degree or equivalent from any university recognized is mandatory for Ph.D. admission. The Ph.D. admission also requires the candidates to appear for a written selection test. Those who clear the test will be asked to appear for a personal interview. The interview performance will decide the fate of admission.



A bachelor degree in the respective stream is required for applying for an MSc Engineering admission. Additionally, the candidates will have to clear the written test and the personal interview conducted by the University.
