Gray hat SEO is something which falls between black hat and white hat SEO techniques. It is an illegal techniques used with good intensions. For example, keyword density comes under gray hat SEO.You have to use more than 2 or 3 keywords in a single webpage these processes used to create more similarity with search engine.

Gray hat SEO is SEO techniques that take more risks than white hat SEO techniques but aren't likely to get your site banned from search engines. They're questionable SEO techniques but not in the same category as black hat SEO techniques. It is a combination of black hat and white hat seo.
