Inorder to Improve the page rank you have to do the following things:
1. Post quality content in your websites. 2. Update the data regularly in your website. 3. The number of Inbound links from the quality websites should be more to your site. 4. Do Forum posting. 5. The content should be of high quality in forum posting. 6. Don't give one word answers to the threads in forum posting. 7. Avoid spelling mistakes. 8. Give Relevant answers to the thread. 9. Don't copy the content from the other websites. 10. Do the article submission. 11. Do the directory submisssion. 12. Do blogging.

Forget PR (sorry to be a downer). It no longer relevant to SERPS in Google. It's now down to some mythical thing called Trust Rank. Similarly, as of April of this year, links started to take on a lower value in rankings, with more emphasis upon internal site structure, original content and freshness of content...
