Web Design and Web Programming are two different aspects of the website experience. Web Design refers to the “front-end”, the look and feel of a web site. Web Programming refers to the backend including:

1)The functionality of the site; how the customized web application and databases talk to each other to give your web visitor a better user experience.

2)Tracking of web visitors, generating multiple sales leads, and giving your employee’s more powerful tools to connect your web.

Web design typically refers to the process of designing a web site or web page layout and often includes the graphical elements on a page. The design can be developed using a graphics program such as Adobe Photoshop, and provides the framework for the look and feel of a web page.

Web development is typically used to described the programming required to construct the "back end" of a website. The back end is the area of the site that isn't seen by visitors, but which does the work required in order to present the right information in the correct format to the visitors.

Web design involves mostly design work, and isn't very technical. It's like painting, and knowing the types of brushes you have is the only technical thing about it. Using those brushing to make a beautiful painting though, can be quite hard.Programming is part-engineering part art. It is definitely more technical than web design. It involves abstracting logical processes and representing them in a language the computer understands.
