Good beginning. HTML is the markup language to learn easily through some online tutorials. Refer W3schools.com and Tizag.

I would suggest html.net and w3schools. Both are effective one to learn HTML.These are the tutorials helps you to start writing HTML code immediately.

for being a perfect web designer, having knowledge about only HTML is not enough.
but having knowledge about HTML 5, CSS3, Photoshop, and many more software also required.
more over you also need to try to design Responsive design now because this is really very highly demanded now days.
