That's really good question. indexing is the process of search engine crawlers. crawlers crawls the pages and saves it to its database to give results in search results pages, it's called indexing.

whenever a new website hosted google take its time to index it and crawl its all the pages and store it a snippet in its data base so whenever a new query occur then its provide the result
