A doorway page also called a gateway page is another black hat technique that can get you banned from search engines. Doorway pages are typically large sets of poor-quality pages where each page is optimized for a specific keyword or phrase. Recently, though, search engines have begun cracking down on the use of doorway pages, seeing them as a threat to their link relevancy. Doorway pages are Web pages planned and built specially to attract search engine visitors to your website. They are detached pages intended only to operate as doorways to your site. In short, they’re not a natural part of a website. They exist only to boost rankings. Black hat includes techniques such as keyword stuffing, cloaking, or the use of doorway pages. It is a form of black hat SEO, which is prohibited and not good enough for search engines like Google.

Doorway pages is a types of black hat technique. so using of black hat technique is harmful for the website because search engine penalize that sites.

Doorway pages are specially created to rank high on search engines using deceptive techniques. So, doorway pages do not provide useful content but instead redirect users to the main page.
