From a SEO perspective here is the meaning of an accepted URL: Canonical URL: the web index cordial URL that you need the web search tools to regard as legitimate. As it were, a sanctioned URL is the URL that you need guests to see. Regularly authoritative URLs were utilized to portray the landing page

Canonical is a value written in ‘rel’ field of the link tag. If search engines come across a web page with canonical tag in it, they understand that it is the duplicate version.A URL is provided in the link tag which points to original version of the content.

From an SEO point of view here is the definition of a canonical URL: Canonical URL: the search engine friendly URL that you want the search engines to treat as authoritative. In other words, a canonical URL is the URL that you want visitors to see. Quite often canonical URLs were used to describe the homepage.
