What is your SEO/SEM strate?

Hi Everybody,
What is your seo strategies for paid advertising for highly competitive keywords.
I mean I split the keywords which needs to achieve by SEO and the keywords from which I want to get traffic from SEM and what is yours ..?

Rather than splitting, I test the profitability of keywords via PPC before going for SEO... so that I don’t end up wasting your efforts in SEO for keywords that do NOT convert!

I think you should perform PPC for the keywords which are highly competitive,It'll take time to rank them in top 5 from nowhere , so why to waste traffic till the time it starts ranking.
