Google SandBox = Old phrase/term.
It referred to sites that were "restricted" in some ways in performance, limiting their ability to do well i nteh SERPs for certain/all search terms etc.

It is Now a commonly mis-used term, as the SandBox effect that is referred to kind of disappeared sometime ago.

Google has a filter that places all new websites under restrictions for a certain amount of time to prevent them from ranking in searches.

The Google Sandbox result is that a site does not receive good rankings for its most important keywords and keyword phrases. Even with good content, abundant incoming links and strong Google PageRank, a site is still adversely affected by the Sandbox effect.

Only Google knows if it's real. Supposedly like a probation for new sites.

Google Sandbox is generally used for websites which are newly launched and then arouse the suspicion of Google, usually by adding a large amount of new content in a very short period of time. This appears to Google as spam; and the Sandbox is essentially a spam filter which watches for suspicious activity, reasoning that a site which adds enormous numbers of new posts, pages and content instantly is probably filling itself with duplicate content or engaging in search engine spamming.

only Google knows if it's real. Supposedly like a probation for new sites. the sandbox effect means sites don't rank as well and this can happen for several months. consensus seems to be it's a time to build valuable links and content.

The Google sandbox is a filter that Google applies to new websites that want to rank in the search results for specific phrases.
The filter exists to prevent SEOs and spammers from easily manipulating search results by satisfying all of Google’s major offsite and onsite factors.

The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites. The result is that a site does not receive good rankings for its most important keywords and keyword phrases.
