The HTTP 404, 404 Not Found and 404 (articulated "four gracious four") mistake message is a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) standard reaction code, in PC organize correspondences, to demonstrate that the customer could speak with a given server, yet the server couldn't discover what was asked.

The 404 Error Page, known as "page not found," is an HTTP[S] standardized status code that indicates an established connection with the server but an inability to find the page in question. Excessive 404 errors negatively impact a website's SEO and are lost revenue opportunities when the user does not ultimately navigate to the website.

A 404 error means that a file cannot be found. Use 301 redirect to move a page on another URL.

A 404 error is an HTTP status code that means that the page you were trying to reach on a website couldn't be found on their server.

A 404 error is an HTTP status code that means that the page you were trying to reach on a website couldn't be found on their server. The 404 Not Found error might appear for several reasons even though no real issue exists, so sometimes a simple refresh will often load the page you were looking for. The most common method is to retry the web page by pressing F5, clicking the refresh/reload button, or trying the URL from the address bar again.
