In software engineering, specifically organizing, a session is a semi-lasting intuitive data exchange, otherwise called a discourse, a discussion or a meeting, between at least two conveying gadgets, or between a PC and client (see Login session).

A session is a group of hits recorded for a user in a given time period. A hit is a user's interaction (pageview, screenview, event, transaction etc) with your website that results in data being sent to the Google Analytics server. A user can generate one or more sessions

In computer science, in particular networking, a session is a semi-permanent interactive information interchange, also known as a dialogue, a conversation or a meeting.

Session and visit are two different things. When a user clicks on a web page or website then it is called as visit and the time duration which the user stay called a session.
The time duration which the user stays on a web page or a website called a session yet When a user clicks on a web page or website, it called a visit. So, I clear you that session and visit are two different things.

In classifying measurements for Web web page use, a client session (at some point alluded to as a visit) is the nearness of a client with a particular IP address who has not gone to the website as of late (normally, whenever inside the previous 30 minutes). The quantity of client sessions every day is one measure of how much activity a Web web page has.

Session is defined as a group of interactions one user takes within a given time frame on your website. Google Analytics defaults that time frame to 30 minutes.

A session is characterized as a gathering of communications one client takes inside a given time span on your site. Google Analytics defaults that time span to 30 minutes. Meaning whatever a client does on your site (e.g. peruses pages, downloads assets, buys items) before they leave rises to one session. To put it plainly, the Sessions measurements is a bound together approach to report "Visits" and "Dynamic Users."
