Data protection, this is why we need ssl certification. If you send any data or any type of transaction performed between your server and the other server, a third person can track your details by hacking or other activities. To protect your network form such kind of malicious activities we use ssl certification.

SSL(Secure Socket layer): Secure socket layer provides an encrypted code to transfer your website data from the source like visitors browser to the destination like the server of holding that website.
Benefit of the SSL( Secure Socket Layer)
1. To provide authentication.
2 To transfer data in the form of encrypted code .

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a standard technology behind establishing an encrypted connection between a web server (host) and a web browser (client). This connection between the two makes sure that all the data passed between them remain private and intrinsic.

This is important because the information you send on the Internet is passed from computer to computer to get to the destination server. Any computer in between you and the server can see your credit card numbers, usernames and passwords, and other sensitive information if it is not encrypted with an SSL certificate.

When an SSL certificate is used, the information becomes unreadable to everyone except for the server you are sending the information to.

The SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate attached to websites helps secure the website better and makes it difficult for hackers to get through sensitive information that may be stored on the servers of websites.

It’s not even that hard to snoop on unencrypted web traffic. With the proliferation of unprotected and poorly managed public wi-fi, it’s shockingly simple. The stuff you do online is valuable to a whole host of people for a whole host of reasons. It’s basically Google’s entire business model.

Oh, also, it’s good for SEO to be protected by SSL.

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client—typically a web server (website) and a browser, or a mail server and a mail client (e.g., Outlook).

SSL allows sensitive information such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, and login credentials to be transmitted securely. Normally, data sent between browsers and web servers is sent in plain text—leaving you vulnerable to eavesdropping. If an attacker is able to intercept all data being sent between a browser and a web server, they can see and use that information.
