SEO takes time. For me, build links with high PR and do follow sites as possible. Use unique content also.

Google ranking depends upon many things considering website. First, website content needs to be updated with fresh and meaningful content. Second, you need to perform on page and off page SEO. Social media marketing is also important now days to generate traffic. You need to create quality back links as well.

For getting good ranking on google try following tips:
Use search engine optimization techniques as forum posts, social bookmarking, image baklinking, web 2.0, rss feed etc... Use social networking sites and post your website related contents there. These will be helpful for getting traffic to your website.

If you are looking for short term ranking then you need build backlinks as much as you can, you will get result for short term and after sometime your site will become worst.
If you would like to survive in today's modern SEO then start improving yourself and follow this instruction. First of all On-page is one of the most important factor in SEO. Its 60% On Page and 40% Off Page, You just need to reset site structure and right Metas and when you will find your site ranking around in first five pages. There is not such strategy to get fast ranking on Google. Make sure ethical manner will place your keyword on top but it will take time.
