Exactly black hat SEO is all about spamming and get ranking by using unfair means. However the white hat SEO includes hard work and sincerity which will actually get your website on high rank and bring the organic traffic.

I don't think anyone here will say they do black hat. It is a sure way to get fired off of Google rankings in a jiffy. Not worth it IMO.

I think black hat does have a role. Suppose you run a travel company and you have got an offer that would last for only 2-3 days. I don't think it's possible to get white hat in such a short time (and after 2-3 days you don't need the web page anymore... even if there is a panda penalty).

Black Hat SEO gives you short term result..as soon as search engines catch them, one will be penalized..but in case of white hat seo it gives long term results and benefit to the site..

white hat seo is an seo technique building links to a website by follows all guide lines of search engines for example one way linking, social bookmarking, article and press release submissions. but it will give long term to get the results.

black hat seo is nothing but process of building links with out fallowing search engines.
for example keyword stuffing, duplicate content, link forming, hidden text etc, it will gives short tern results.
