XML sitemap is a document type that helps Google and other major search engines better understand your website while crawling it.
Difference Between XML and HTML sitemap HTML sitemaps are designed for humans to navigate the website. XML Sitemaps on the other hand are designed for search engines to know the site structure.

It equally important is the content/URLs that we feed search engines.This allowed search engines the ability to have a buffet of site URLs from any one page on your site. Then along came XML sitemaps. Extensible Markup Language is the preferred means of data digestion by search engines.

- XML sitemap created for search engines and a search engine bot easily cache, index a new webpage.
