Using good content,
Using top ten site for bookmarking, A good content submission, and Blog commenting etc are the best way to get link building for your site.

Link building techniques are good to improve backlinking of any website and backlinks are helpful to improve ranking I use following link build techniques:
Social bookmarking. Image backlinking. Web 2.0 Forum posts. infografics. Podcast.
