Links that “point” to another site are called do follow links. These pass link juice to a page, help to increase its PageRank and raise its profile to the search engines. The more natural do follow links a website/page has, the higher it is likely to rank online.

Hi,
Dofollow:
Links that “point” to another site are called do follow links. These pass link juice to a page, help to increase its PageRank and raise its profile to the search engines. The more natural do follow links a website/page has, the higher it is likely to rank online.

Think of do follow links as signposts on the internet highway. They are clearly directing people and search engines to another site.

Nofollow:
A no follow link is a link that doesn’t “point” to another site (no signposts). I think this is where people get confused, as people can still click onto a no follow link and get sent to another site, but in the eyes of the search engines they don’t “point” to anything.

To add a no follow link to your site, simply add this HTML code where you want the link to appear.
Thanks,
sonvi.belani

Even though, it's a good practice to use Nofollow link attribute to those link, where you don't want to pass link-juice. Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them and reach our website. ... If a webmaster is linking back to you with this link both Search Engine and Humans will be able to follow you.

Dofollow means links are to allow link juice from one web page to another web page and helps to improve keyword rankings.

Nofollow means links are not allowed link juice and not effects the keyword rankings.

Hi,

Do Follow Link :-
Links that “point” to another site are called do follow links. These pass link juice to a page, help to increase its PageRank and raise its profile to the search engines. The more natural do follow links a website/page has, the higher it is likely to rank online.
Think of do follow links as signposts on the internet highway. They are clearly directing people and search engines to another site.
Example :-
<a href=http://www.example.com rel=”dofollow”> Example </a>
These links are important in terms of SEO as they are tracked by search engines and the value of the links also gets transferred.

No Follow Link :-
A no follow link is a link that doesn’t “point” to another site (no signposts). I think this is where people get confused, as people can still click onto a no follow link and get sent to another site, but in the eyes of the search engines they don’t “point” to anything.
Example :-
<a href=http://www.example.com rel=”nofollow”> Example </a>
“nofollow” backlinks are not important in terms of search engines as it is not crawled. The comments section mostly have no follow links. But that does not mean that these links are useless. You can still get some quality traffic from these also.

Nofollow links attributes do not allow search engine bots to follow link. That means if the website owner is linking back to you with nofollow attributes, it does not pass on link juice. Only Humans will be able to follow the links. Though some time back Google made it clear that they don’t consider nofollow link attributes but weightage of such links are really less. Even though, it’s a good practice to use Nofollow link attribute to those link, where you don’t want to pass link-juice.
Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them and reach our website. Giving us link juice and a backlink. If a webmaster is linking back to you with this link both Search Engine and Humans will be able to follow you. The best way to give someone dofollow love is allowing keyword in the anchor text. This means when you are linking to any website or page, use the targeted keyword as anchor text.

'Do follow' links are crawled by search engine bots and thus they contribute to website back-link building.

Example: <a href=”https://www.brotherlabs.com/in” rel=”dofollow”>E-commerce website development</a>

'No follow' links are never crawled by search engine spiders and hence they do not contribute to back-link building. Both types of links are used to build traffic for your website and helps in keyword ranking in search engines.

Example: <a href=”https://www.brotherlabs.com/in” rel=”nofollow”>E-commerce website development</a>

Nofollow is an HTML attribute value used to instruct search engines bots that a hyperlink should not influence the link target’s ranking in the search engine’s index.

Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them and reach our website. Giving us link juice and a backlink.

Do follow and no follow are link attributes and contain instructions for search engine robots. Do follow links are crawled and indexed in search engines whereas no follow links are never crawled and indexed in search engines.

NoFollow Link: These are non-crawling link which are not passed by search engines bot and hence can't be cached or indexed.

DoFollow link:It is also a kind of hyperlink which says all search engines crawlers to pass through which also put an impact over page rank.

Thank you!

A link by default is a do-follow link it is indicating search engine to crawl and give all credit or link juice to it, If you make a link "no-follow" then google ignore it as a not important link or not provide any link credit or linkjuice when visitor click on that.
