Difference between white hat seo and black hat seo?

White Hat SEO = Legitimate techniques for optimizing a website (natural link building, manual social bookmarking etc)
Black Hat SEO = Illegitimate way of optimization with an intent to game search engines (cloaking, hidden text, doorway pages etc)

Black hat SEO is based on spamming work (bulk submission of links).

White hat is good tactics to get good position on search engine and it is also provided long term result. It is totally ethical way to do SEO and provide great results.

Black hat is bat tactics it is many times help to get good ranking but not for a long time. It is totally using unethical way and use many spamming methods and it is may be harm to your website.

White Hat is ethical way of optimization which follows search engine's guidelines in optimization.
Black Hat is the unethical way of optimization which doesn't follows search engine's guidelines in optimization.

Both techniques are opposite from each other where white hat SEO uses all the ethical techniques and black hat SEO break all the rules .
