Many backlink or some quality backlink, who is better? And Why?

Quality backlinks gives good results rather than getting many backlinks from low or zero PR websites.

Google gives more importance if your building your links on high PR websites because Google considered those sites as a most trusted and pass the link juice towards your website.

Some Quality links are better than many backlinks because nowadays Google Penguin is penalizing websites which have low quality or spammy backlinks. And give high priority to website which have High PR Backlinks.

concentrate on creating high traffic links will be more beneficial

Currently in SEO, we should focus only quality of backlinks rather than quantity of backlinks. Because maximium number of backlinks from low PR websites are not useful to index our website in SERP.
