Domain authority and page authority are the numeric value which is assign by moz tool or a factor of ranking of your site on SERP. If you have good DA and PA, it increase the probability of getting high ranking on SERP. And to get high DA and PA you must have quality backlinks for reputed sites or quality sites.

There are a number of different, specific measures of authority, both direct and indirect.
