PHP is probably the best way to go. You got more open source projects and also the community is huge. Also, setting up a linux server with apache running PHP is very cheap.

PHP is an interpreted languag though it is powerful to build up any kind of web page you need to build up. ASP.net is a server-side web program Structure that used for developing sites, web programs and web solutions. But for the protection purpose, ASP.net is better than PHP.

I am fully aware what you are thinking right now. Just because I’ve done ONE PHP big project, doesn’t make me an expert. You are correct, I am not a PHP expert. However, the arguments I make in this post would not change with experience level.

For the record, I am NOT pro ASP.NET or pro PHP. There are some situations where PHP is the best tool for the job, and there are other cases where ASP.NET is the best. I have actually fought for the use of PHP in a lot of projects

Both languages have their own advantages and disadvantages.

PHP is an interpreted language though it is strong to develop any type of page you need to develop.

ASP.net is a server-side web application Framework that used for creating websites, web applications and web services. But for the security reason, ASP.net is better than PHP.

In my opinion, I must say ASP.NET is better career choice as compared to PHP

PHP will be used mostly for big projects and you can develop any type of website page you want to start. Some of time ASP.net is better than PHP.

PHP is more suited for web application development, it is a language created for with that purpose in mind, so it is easier to write PHP code for HTTP based applications. PHP written mostly in C so it is pretty easy to extend it and build modules for your needs.
While ASP.NET is more complicated due to the overall .NET architecture and it's C++ inheritances.
