Let's say you want to have a great command over mathematics. You've the option of studying it in English or French. Does it matter so much which language you choose?
The answer is No. As we know that mathematicians from different countries with different languages did excellent works, in their native language and promoted their work to other languages very swiftly. If they had focused on learning Mathematics only in English, it not necessarily mean that they can't solve an equation given in a foreign language. They know the subject, language comes much later. Even in programming, C++, Java, Python are just languages. Algorithms, Concepts of OOPS underlying them are same. Focus on learning those concepts rather than any preferred language. It also helps you learn new language (as it's only a matter of syntax and a bit difference in rules like Grammar in natural languages) very quickly. Go for any language you like, but make sure you understand what you're learning. Don't attempt to understand why sky is blue, only in English. Try to understand it such that you can explain it in any language. Good luck with programming.
