Where's your CSS?

Is your CSS embedded onto your webpage or on a different file? (usually style.css)
Mine is on a different file. It makes your file more organized and clean for you to sort through.
What do you think?

Placing your CSS in external style sheets is a better idea for a few reasons, such as faster page loads, and lower bandwidth usage.

that way to update all your webpages you only need to change 1 file.
you can update thousands of pages in 10 seconds!

Ina different file, course! I can't get the reasoning behind including it in the HTML code, except maybe for blog templates like blogger.com. Putting everything in their proper files and folders keep things organized and a snap to maintain.

Its an external stylesheet for me too. I did question if this was the correct method not too long back but it does seem to be the preffered choice with designers/coders.

I much prefer external. It makes it much easier if you want to change things later on. Another advantage is that you can use multiple stylesheets so you can customise different parts of yor website.

I'll add my vote for external too. It is much easier to control the overall look and feel of the site.
