I have been with bluehost now for many years and been happy with them, though none of my sites use too much bandwidth. They are cheap though so you get what you pay for.

Second, what is your budget? With web hosting, you usually get what you pay for...
I would never go with "free" hosting, but it depends on how much you can afford...

If your site is big, you should look into VPS. If it's just a small site, look into Chime Host for web hosting. They offer a good price and good uptime. Personally, i care about response time and i am happy with their service so far.
