LinkedIn is only for making connections rather for jobs or business purposes it is not a good social media website for promotion.

Although admittedly it's not the best for social media marketing and promotion it's definitely something worth posting updates in. Primarily for building connections but it can also be used as an additional marketing tool.

LinkedIn is good for B2B businesses and for building connections with professionals and entrepreneurs.

It's not good for promoting online stores and products unless it's something related to a professional field.

However it's good to have stronger backlinks for SEO purposes, this in long term will get more traffic to your website.

No doubt about LinkedIn, LinkedIn is one of the most strongest social network that really helps to build a strong profile or people as well as for a company page too.

If you're confused with what to share on LinkedIn or how to manage your company's LinkedIn page, remember to think of it as a content marketing platform instead of a social media channel, and then plan your posting strategy. A LinkedIn social media strategy must be always followed by a overall content strategy.
