For me it would be SEO, in where it can make the content of your web pages more relevant, more attractive, and more easily read by search engines and their crawling and indexing software.

SEM - MM (Social Media Marketing) is the process of entering into social media networks with a strategic plan to enhance your SEO. SMM seeks to increase your visibility within social networking communities by generating links, posts and articles etc with the purpose of driving traffic, increasing popularity and increasing brand awareness.

You need to use all three of them for best results, as they are interrelated. SEO is impacted by social signals (SMO) and also the volume of traffic that SEM brings in. SEM and SMO in turn are positively impacted if your site has good SEO.
