How Long A Tourist Can Stay in Canada?
 

Hello :)

When a tourist arrives in Canada, the immigration officer will decide whether the tourist can be admitted to Canada and, if he is satisfied that tourist intend to stay only temporarily, will decide how long the tourist are allowed to stay. Unless otherwise specified, tourist is authorized to stay up to six months. Tourist must leave Canada by that date or else, at least 30 days before that date, apply to prolong their status.

Please explain.

i guess this can't apply to tourists from all countries

it depends on how much duration for you have applied for visa. i think max 3 months. If you want to stay longer apply for job and ask company to extend ur visa :-)

This is a very important matter to discuss. Cause, I am planning to go Canada for a tour trip. I want to know, if I am not having visa just having my passport will the authority send me in prison or they will deport me?

If you want to extend your stay in Canada, you must apply to do so. Check your temporary resident status to make sure you apply before the expiry date. This will be on your study or work permit, the stamp in your passport or, if you do not have a stamp in your passport, 6 months from the day you entered Canada. You should apply 30 days before your status expires to:

extend your visitor, student or work status,
change your permit type (for example, from a study permit to a work permit) or
change your permit condition(s) (for example, if you are studying and you want to change schools, or if you are working and you want to change jobs).
