PHP Or JAVA?
 

Wondering which one people think I'm best learning in order to become better at designing websites . . ..

Both are very good programming language. But PHP is best and easy to learn and understand.

Both are best programming language. If you are interested in web development than go for PHP. JAVA is also helpful to develop mobile and web application.

If you're a beginner don't start with java on web development.

PHP all the way. And do everything from template system to database connections, try to do a simple game etc.

Then move to something like the java play framework.

Keep in mind php is much slower than java for any more than low computations.
