Sudden Rank Change in SERP

Hi Buddies,

Is Everyone noticed the sudden rank change in (SERP - Search Engine Results Page) position change for your website? May I know, what is the reason for this change? Is there any Google updates have happened?

It may be due to change in algorithm but if it happens only with your website only then there are chances of getting penalised. There is a possibility that google has placed your website in sandbox condition.

I didn't notice any change in my website ranking. The change maybe effective due to Google ranking update. The change is occasionally termed as Google dance. It is an out-dated slang term used to describe the period of time in which Google used to rebuild its rankings, and as a result of this rebuilding, rankings of Web sites on Google's SERP may fluctuate in order during a several day period.

You didn't say whether you site crashed or went better and by how much. What did you do to it that would have caused a change in serps?

I am noticing small changes about one a week but not sure what is causing it.

Check whether your site is penalised or not, or it is affected by Google sand box

I have noticed many changes in the past 3-4 weeks, even before the new Penguin update was announced. My site changes its positions literally every hour - going up and down. Any ideas when the SERP will be more stable?
