High ranked get through great value of backlinks for the site.

Search engines are not that link-oriented as you think. Backlinks are not the core foundation of having a good ranking in SEs.

I suggest you to study their guidelines for you to have an idea of how you will come up a good optimization strategies to make your site ranked in major search engines.
