A spam account is a secondary email account that is used for sign-up pages when people don't want to give their primary email address. The reason people use a spam account for sign-up is because some sites sell email addresses or bombard them with promotional emails that have little or no value.

Spam in email as the name implies are trash basket for unwanted mails, insultive or any mail you just feel that you dont fancy. If you mark mails and then put them in the spam section, mails from that sender might be automatically filtered by the spam detector and they wont be in your inbox.

The reason people use a spam account for sign-up is because some sites sell email addresses or bombard them with promotional emails that have little or no value. A spam account, therefore, acts as a buffer, allowing the person to access a program, content or service that requires registration while keeping their main email address spam-free.
