How many backlinks do I need?

I know getting links is important but is there a set number of links I should aim for each month.

You have to build quality of backlinks not quantity in order to rank higher in search engine results.

Also it largely depends on what keywords you are targeting. For medium / low competitor you may need high trust and authority links. You can get that withing 3-6 weeks. For very competitive keywords it may take 6 months.

Getting higher (quantity) backlinks is not important you have to get high pr backlinks to promote your site...i.e, quality links from quality sites...

no one could say that.As it totally depends on google that how relevant it treats the particular website

you should build quality of backlinks. if you build quality of backlinks, you site's ranking will be improve.

i think you need to get high quality backlinks from high pr dofollow sites insted of total number of backlinks. this may improve your website search engine ranking.

As long as you are following search engine rules, then you're good.

you should only concentrate on quality back-links otherwise your site may be in spam..

work on quality links with quality content.

No limit to make back link...More back link is good for your website..

Number of back links should be that much so that you have more backlinks than the site above than you on SERP.

you should build quality of backlinks.u can do this by seo and social sites.

Better to focus on generating quality of backlink. Because it helpful to get more visitor to the website. Also Helpful to get rank over search engine website.
