What And WHy pinging my site ???
 

i want to know what is pinging and is it important for my site . if it is , then how often should i ping my site , like everyday or once in a week or month .

It's been awhile. If I remember correctly, when you ping your site, it tells the link/site/etc "hey I have something new over here check me out!"

And it crawls over to you and checks it out.If you are using Word press, it is excellent for pinging. There is a section under settings where you can add pings. I do NOT recommend adding a large list of pings. This is solely from personal experience. I added like 200 pings sites and it overtook my bandwidth. I was on shared hosting. If you search for ping lists you will find a TON of ping lists, with 30,50,150 links to add fo rpinging. I have been told that the list I included before are the best to use and shoudl rank your page just as fast as if you had 300 pings...

Using a Ping tool can speed up indexing because it essentially sends search portals and other services a message from your website telling them that there is new content and to come crawl.
