Does duplicate content on another site affect my ranking?
A rivals set up a brand-new website and copy and pasted some copy from our home page. When doing a contrast with a duplicate content tool the outcome was that the web pages where 21 % similiar. Does the fact they have copied our content affect our site?
No...It will affect only the website who was copied your content. Not yours...
Has your content been indexed by Google before the copied content got indexed.? If your content has been indexed earlier then there will be no problem for your site.
If your website content indexed before other site than there is no worry about it. Because Google need fresh content as per the new Search algorithm.
Do not copy content to your website, use only fresh and unique content to your website.
nahh Google ain't that stupid these days though you can report it to DMCA just to be on the safe side you know.
As your content will be crawled earlier then the other site's content will be considered as a duplicate content.
Yes your site ranking will be affected....
Just make sure Google bot crawls your site regularly. Then you'll be OK.
You can just hope for the best and think that this was dream and you get open eyes on reality which was very beautiful
There is no worry about it, because Google needs fresh content as per the new Search...:yesmaster:clap:

As per SEO, content duplication should be avoided to get ranked in SERP (Search engine results pages), because the content is always king for SEO.
indeed don't copy virtually any content and come up with a new, purposeful and top quality content. then you'll receive greater ranking.
