What is keyword proximity?
Keyword Proximity is a measurement criteria of the closeness of the keywords within the Page Title, Meta Description and Body Text.

To discuss about the keyword proximity, we can take an example: “footwear lower prices” This keyword or phrase contains 3 words. As now you have to optimize your web page for this keyword as whenever a person search with this keyword, then search engine displayed your website in the top Search Engine results. It actually refers density to individual words (footwear, lower, prices).
Keyword Proximity refers to density of the phrase “footwear lower prices”. It should be in same order without any words between them. Usage of phrase in same order is keyword proximity. It helps search engine to identify your targeted keyword easily. |
Keyword proximity refers to closeness of keywords. Your keywords should be close to each other in content of web page. Many people don’t know about keywords. They generally treats key phrases as a keyword. Usually we do not target keyword.

The keyword proximity refers to the distance between the search term’s individual keywords. For example: a website contains the keywords that make up the search term “Detroit Corporate Photographer” in the sentence “Detroit Photographer Blake Discher specializes in corporate photography”. The search term proximity between “Detroit” and “Photographer” is excellent, zero words, but between “Photographer” and “corporate” it is four words. The smaller the distance between a search term’s individual keywords, the more relevant it will be from a search engine’s point of view.
