How long does it takes to get listed in google?
 

I got my website running for about a month now, did SEO for it, submited sitemap to google. I rank 0. Anybody know how long it takes to rank up?

Nearly three months should be taken for the better result for good and quality websites..

It could take a few month to an eternity
Depending upon:
1) Content, Content is KING, unique and useful content
2) Traffic, should be constantly increasing
3) Social media Presence, likes, G+ and so on
4) High quality backlinks, build in a consistently fashion.

It toke me about one year for my site to be indexed.

It depends on your work. Which techniques are use for websites.

It depends on content that is present in your website. Include XML sitemap, It is easy for Google to crawl your site
