Use of H1 tag

In on-page how many times i can use h1 tag, and where should i use it, in head section either in body.

You can as many times as you want but keep it natural as you do not expect to have 10 headings in one page and may need more than 1 also, so it depends on you. There are some people saying that it should be 1-2, but I truly believe that even if you use 3 there is nothing bad in it.
