Short-term SEO?

A lot of you are gonna be thinking I'm being stupid - In a sense I am.

Anyway, there's a site which will only be live for a few months (therefore long-term SEO would be pointless and not an option), this is not my decision.

I need the site to rank in a fairly competitive market in 1 month (horrible job), then after a few months it's going down.

All I can think of is long-term strategies - does anyone have any suggestions, has anyone done this before?

Any help or replies will be appreciated.

With long tail keyword in which is less competitive, you can reach to your purpose

I don't think 1 month would be enough, it will not be possible. It will take some time my friend.
