Impact of IP address on website

Does IP address affects the website when working from different location? Let it us take an example I'm currently working from India for a website in UK does the Indian IP address brings down the visitors in UK???
can anyone help me with this???

As i know it does not affect the flow of the visitors.

No mate, don't worry. I worked for a US Website from Romania , no problem as i know.
