Does air conditioner ever run on gas for a home?
 

I hope this isn't a silly question but I decided not to renew my gas bill until the winter time. When I moved in the town home they said only the heat and fireplace requires gas. It seems that ever since I stopped paying the bill my air conditioner stopped working.
