Do you need a degree for web design?

I'm interested in getting into the web design field. I don't really know where to start though. I have already created a website with my general CSS knowledge.

No need of any degree you can learn from any institute or any tutorials for that. Degree is just for promotions or for a job . Knowledge is different and degree is different.

I think you do not need any degree to start your career in web designing. but yes in future you should get it. Because it will help you to win more trust and reputation in market.
