I think a good balance of both is best. I like to frame my gym visits with yoga, because I feel it first prepares my body for exercise and then afterwards stretches it to make sure I stay flexible. So I will go to a yoga class at the beginning and end of the week and then to the gym inbetween

In my opinion both are good if yo do yoga in open arena its will be good for you and if you can't able to do yoga then go to gym and do some workout but most prefer doing exercise on open ground.
