On the other hand, XML Sitemaps, are designed for search engines to know the site structure.

XML sitemap helps Google while crawling the site, whereas HTML sitemaps are usually used to help the visitors to have a better and easier site experience.

HTML sitemap is for site visitors to easily navigate the website as it is bulleted form and helps visitors to check out each page of it without any difficulty whereas XML site is created for submitting the website in search engines so that it can crawl it easily. It is an important factor that must be included in a website and it is an important On Page factor as well.

HTML sitemaps are plain text sitemaps that are used by browsers to read and browse through your webpages.

XML sitemaps are coded sitemaps that are generated and submitted in webmaster tool to increase the crawling rate of your webpages.
