If my taxes are overpaid how do I receive a refund?
 

Credit balances are automatically refunded in accordance with AMC 12.05.062 with interest for all Real Property tax account refunds. Process time will vary due to the volume of overpayments.

Overpayments are only applied to taxes due for the current calendar year and will not be applied to future year taxes.

You can write an application to the superintendent officer for the excess money you have paid within the prescribed time limit specified in the law . Then it may be refunded you after a certain period of time of writing the application or will be get the deduction for this when you will pay the tax for the next period automatically.
