IMO, I don't think there is really such thing as grayhat. Blackhat and whitehat will do.

But it would be good if you use only white hat SEO for better result.

Gray hat techniques are mixture of white hat and black hat seo techniques... which are not so much harmful to website as compared to black hat but not safe as white hat techniques.
