I think 2 types,

1 - HTML sitemap
2 - XML sitemap..

XML Sitemap - XML Sitemap like a blueprint for your house and each web page were a room.
XML Sitemaps are important for SEO because they make it easier for Google to find your site’s pages—this is important because Google ranks web pages, not just websites.

HTML sitemap - HTML sitemaps help a visitor to easily find the web pages in your website. It includes each and every page of your website. You can create it in HTML language or made it done with your developer. And remember to make sure that it contains all your main web pages/categories with about us contact us pages as well for an example.

There are mainly two types of Sitemaps:
XML Sitemap
HTML Sitemap

XML

Mainly there are two types of sitemap: HTML & XML

HTML: for users
XML: For bot or crawler

Basically two type of site map are present,
Html-Display user in the mind with the same structure
Xml-same as html but it have different web code and document

A sitemap is a record of webpages included in a website that is available for the customer and google to get around a website and find the information they are looking for.
