What is Salt-free diet?

The salt-free diet is a recommended dietary caution in people suffering from various heart diseases, renal or endocrine.

When talking about salt diet, this diet without sodium salt. That is why we propose to people to follow a salt-free diet plan , potassium salts, which they are allowed.

Principle

The salt is sodium chloride. Is sodium retains water in the body and into the cells. The purpose of the salt-free diet plan is simply to reduce the amount of water in the body.

The salt-free diet plan , decreasing the amount of water helps reduce the volume of blood flowing through the vessels. Thus it relieves the work of the heart and lowers blood pressure in the vessels.

It also decreases the amount of water in tissues. This is why it is necessary for people with edema

Different types of diet without salt

Free regime "large" salt from salting normally (ie without excess) food when cooking and never add salt to food at the table. This type of diet has value only if the person scrupulously respects salting preparing the dishes. This is why this type of diet is not followed in a hospital environment where a dietician supervises meal preparation. At home, it's illusory.

The salt-free diet "strict": it is dirty or when cooking or at the table. This type of diet is best followed at home. It is compensated by the wrong salt is potassium chloride. Today, it's almost never true salt-free diet plan . There is salt in bread, cheese, meats, and prepared foods.

Indications

All heart problems when they are responsible for heart failure.

Corticosteroids long-term treatment, and Cushing's disease.

Nephrotic syndrome.

The causes of edema in general.

Must not eat

Are prohibited in all high salt foods (saumurs, industrial cans that are often too salty, cold cuts, some sparkling water (Vichy, Badoit ...), cheese, ..... The agro industry -Food was forced by the state to reduce the salt content of these products.

Salt food

You should know that our modern diet is much too salty: the recommendations are around 3g / day and we consume about 8 to 10g / day. Two reasons:

Salt increases the palatability and thus mask the poverty of the food taste (major fault processed foods)

Salt retains water, so that the foods are artificially engorged. This allows manufacturers to save on quantities.

The salt makes you thirsty and so this could grow to consume more drinks nearby.

Recipes

There is no miracle recipe, salt being the absolute flavoring we can replace that with potassium salt. Some actions are however to be taken to the brain accepts the frustration of the decrease in taste.

Become accustomed gradually to the idea of eating less salty. This salt-free diet takes time, but gradually the brain gets used in a few months.

Cannabis are very effective as the holistic treatment, but when THC addiction results for their abuse, it is difficult to get out of it. Serenity cannabis withdrawal treatment is not difficult with rehabilitation services.
